When open an element the attachment is opened directly?

When open an element the attacment is opened directly and when I try to print the attacment it prints the elemnt and not the ataccment. The attacment is a gif file, other attacment works correctly. When I forward the mail to another PC it also works ok and i can se the attacment in its own window in the element ???
