When saving an attachment, how do I preventEntourage from revising the creation andmodification date

Is there a method for preventing Entourage from trashing the original creation/modification date and time when I save mail attachments to my Mac?

Entourage saves the attachment with the time and date of the save, i.e., the present.

This wreaks havoc on organizing files by their dates.

Don't rely on the Received date, which can change if the file is ever
modified or copied to/from Entourage. Instead, rely on the Sent date,
which is actually more accurate.

As for moving attachments out of Entourage to your Desktop or some other
Finder location, the date presented there is when the file was created.
That's a Finder feature. Entourage can not control the modification date
in the Finder.
