When user logs on to outlook 2003, it goes back to login screen

A User of ours puts the correct domain and login details into outlook 2003
yet when they hit ok, it goes straight back to the login screen without
giving an error message. the password and domain is definately correct.
anyone got any ideas/suggestions to try?
