When will MS fix this astounding mistake?

First off: Entourage is by far the best e-mail client I have used, but
it ships with a bug that's so severe that it's mind-boggling that MS
hasn't done anything about it:

It's of course about the problem to work with mail servers that has NTLM
version 1 authentication: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/842882

Does anyone here know anything about a fix for this?

First of all, it's not a bug. It was a bug that previous versions "sort of
worked".

I believe it's already been updated by SP-1 to work reliably. You can get
SP-1 at MacTopia or by running Microsoft AutoUpdate twice (once to update
the Updater, then to update Office). I'm not 100% sure this was fixed, but I
think so. Do let us know.
