When will VBA return to Word for the Mac?

What usually happens, and there is no reason to expect this to change, is
that Mac Office releases around a year after the PC version. The next
version of Office for the PC is codenamed Office 14, but little else is
officially known at the moment - it may be released this year, next year, or
later. My guess would be next year, which suggests the next version of Mac
Office in 2011. I repeat, this is just a guess as no-one outside Microsoft
has any definitive knowledge of this.
