Where are Downloads kept?

P

Peggy Grall

When I first got my Mac the downloads were in the Doc and if I downloaded
something I could always find it there...for some reason it¹s not there
now...how can I find it?

And, I Œdownloaded¹ a .exe file to attend a conference call on
hotconference.com and it isn¹t working...any ideas? When I open the
downloaded file its just code....my instructions were to right click and
select Œadministrator¹ and proceed....

I appreciate any help anyone has

Do you mean attachments? The easiest way to tell is to select an
attachment, click the Save button and you'll be presented with a Save
Attachment dialog. Pay attention to this location's name or change the
location.

If you're referring to downloads from hyperlinks then they are probably
getting saved to your Downloads folder in your home folder (if you're
using Leopard).
And, I ‘downloaded’ a .exe file to attend a conference call on
hotconference.com and it isn’t working...any ideas? When I open the

Those .exe files are Windows-only applications. You can't run them on
your Mac unless you're running Windows on your Mac using Parallels,
VMWare, Boot Camp or something similar.

Hope this helps!
