Where does the outlook store passwords

Hi all.
I wanted to know where does the outlook stores the
passwords which it prompts for the personal folders.If I
want to change the password how do I do it???

Hi Naveen,

Assuming you know the existing password, you can change it as follows:

1) Open the PST file in Outlook to ensure it is listed in the current
Services

2) Select Tools - Services

3) Select the PST file you want

4) Click on Properties

5) Click on Change Password.

Hi Saqib,

Personally, I am using Outlook 2000 (SP3) but what difference does it
make?

Is the answer different depending on version? I have used Outlook 97,
98, and 2000 and they all work the same way.
