I recently exported my contacts from an Outlook PST file, and now I want to import them into my new smartphone. While converting the contacts, I noticed there are different VCF (vCard) versions available, such as 2.1, 3.0, and 4.0. I am not sure which VCF version works best with modern Android and iOS smartphones in 2026. I want to make sure that all contact details, like multiple phone numbers, email addresses, and company information, are imported correctly without any data loss. Has anyone tried this before? Which VCF version should I choose to ensure maximum compatibility with new smartphones?

To convert PST contacts for use in new smartphones, choosing VCF 3.0 or 4.0 is usually the best selection because these versions are widely accepted by modern Android and iPhone contact apps. And these versions keep fields like multiple numbers, emails and addresses properly structured without any missing information. I effectively transferred a large Outlook contact list with OSTtoPSTAPP PST to vCard Converter. The application is made to export Outlook contacts to VCF while keeping all of the contact information.

While working with it, a few capabilities stood out:

• You can choose the most compatible format for smartphones by creating vCard files in versions 2.1, 3.0, or 4.0.

• PST files from multiple Outlook versions, including Outlook 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019, and 2021, are supported.

• It is simple to use on most systems and runs smoothly on Windows 11, 10, 8.1, and 7.

• Before exporting, the preview box shows contacts so you can confirm information such as phone numbers, emails and business details.

• Bulk export mode saves a lot of work by enabling the conversion of entire PST contact folders at once.
