Why are my contacts supposedly out of sync?

Every few days and for no apparent reason sync services pops up and says there are several conflicts with Entourage and do I want to resolve them. I say yes...

I have made no changes since the last time this happened.

Why does it do it or is it a bug?

It shouldn't happen. You might want to take a look in Console.app
(/Applications/Utilities) to see if there is anything relevant, but it
could very well be a bug if you are running Office 2008 (you didn't tell
us),
