why did office take over my scanner it orig program wont work

when i try to run my scanner from its own soft ware ,is hp 2110v it causes a
huge error the whole computer shuts down dont mind scanning from office but
the orig program is much nicer to me can i disable this feature of office or
am i stuck with it like this 4 ever?

Perhaps you need to visit HP web site/support for your product, and update
drivers/software
