Database corruption can be the result of a lot of things. Size of database,
size of free space on hard drive, RAM all can affect your database.

For Exchange accounts it's best not to rebuild, but to create a new Identity
and let Entourage sync back up to your server.

Optimize Entourage to better work with Exchange

Let us know if the optimize article helps along with starting with a new
Identity.

I've had this happen also. My guess is that after a rebuild there is
still something wrong with the DB even though verify says it is
running fine. When this has happened I've just created a new identity
and either imported the info from the old identity to the new or used
the old as an archive and started fresh with the new. Since I use
IMAP all my mail comes back to the new identity.

One thing to be aware of is there is an issue with rebuild. If it
doesn't work properly creating a new identity is the best approach as
even if you have a backup that reports it is running fine it really
might not be and you'll quickly get the message the database is
damaged - rebuild.
