Why do slides appear one line at a time?

After putting together my PP presentation I applied an Animation Scheme which
seemed to work fine. When I previewed my presentation for every bulleted line
on a slide I had to click my mouse for it to appear. Why won't my entire
slide appear with one mouse click?

Which animation scheme did you apply? It probably animates your bullets one at
a time.

I believe the final one was Elegant. I had tried several ones. Should I just
choose no animation to correct the problem?

You can change it to no animation, or you can set the animations to start
"With Previous" - this will have them come in animated, but still together.
(And if you want the really easy way to do it, put the animations on the
master slide instead of each slide. Then you only have to change the
settings one place.)
