Why don't my left/right arrow keys don't work in Office 2003?

I have been using my Dell Wireless Multimedia keyboard for over a year now.
All of a sudden, my left/right arrow keys don't work when I use Microsoft
Office 2003. I have tried EVERYTHING: changing batteries, resynchronizing
the receiver, performing a system restore, reinstalling Microsoft Office
2003, and turning off the scroll lock. Nothing has solved the problem.

The keyboard works absolutely fine with my notebook computer, which also
uses Microsoft Office 2003. What could possibly be wrong? This is making me
miserable! Help?!

Do you have an old keyboard around to test to see if it is an operating system
problem?

I sure don't. I have tried my other wireless keyboard, and it also does not
work with Office 2003 on my desktop. Both keyboards work fine with my
notebook though. Wierd.

I figured out what I did to cause my left/right arrow keys not to work all of
a sudden. I was experimenting with the speech tools of the language bar the
other day. I remember that I made some changes in the settings that would
allow the left/right arrow keys to act as toggle keys when I used the speech
recognition software.

The changes I made affected EVERYTHING related to Microsoft Office as well
as Internet Explorer. I didn't realize that the language bar settings would
be in effect regardless of whether or not I was actually using the language
bar or even had the language bar turned on. So now the problem is resolved.
I am going to post my findings on a couple of forums that I use.

Thank you for all of your help.
