Why gmane.org is not working with Entourage

I noticed a few people have complained about gmane.org newsreading not
working with Entourage. The reason for this lies in [1], if you use
tcpflow you'll see that Entourage uses LISTGROUP to retrieve the
contents of a mailinglist.

Are there any other ppl interested in gmane supporting Entourage? I am
going to ping the gmane.discuss list to see if there is anything that
can be done about it.

Well, the gmane people have been very helpfull in fixing this anomaly,
gmane.org is working now in Entourage !

That's great. When I asked gmane about this, they were pretty snippy and
said "too bad". You must have found the friendly gmane maintainer..
