Why I'm not switching Entourage to v.2004 or "Why does M$ change views key commands?"

I have a problem. In Microsoft Entourage v.X I can have all M$
Entourage windows closed and then do a command 1 on my keyboard to open
a new mail window (i don't use the other functions like calendar,
etc.). When I do this, I am taken to the Inbox on My Computer. That's
fine, perfect in fact since I use the keyboard a lot.

But after I started using Entourage 2004 including the latest 11.2.3
release, I've notice that when doing the same procedure it takes me to
the INBOX on my IMAP server. This is I HATE! It's a waste of time
because I am never actually using the INBOX on the IMAP server. It's
just downloaded from there.

As a result I have never made the transition to v.2004 as I am so
keyboard dependent that it's too frustrating to always have to click
back up the folder list to get to "My Computer's" Inbox.

Any ideas or comments?

Thanks,

Sean

Spend some of that negative energy and read up on Applescripting that
functionality. You can probably even map it to a function key with a little
ingenuity. Voila--problem solved.
