I keep getting internet pages opening on my computer that I did not request.
The top part says they are from Explorer. How can I prevent this from
happening it is slowing down my computer.

Use Lavasoft Adaware, Microsoft Antispyware or another program to scan for
possible spyware. you also might want to get a popup blocker. after scanning
you might want to install spywareblaster to help prevent potential spyware
from being installed without your knowledge.

This is not a Microsoft Office question, it's an Internet Explorer question.

http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/list/en-us/default.aspx The
Internet Explorer groups are kind of hard to find, though. I think
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...c23-46c0-48c4-9f96-5734a3d7fafd&lang=en&cr=us
would be appropriate. (here's a shorter link in case that long one doesn't
work http://tinyurl.com/9caoj )

That said, download, install and run AdAware http://www.lavasoftusa.com

You may have to take more drastic measures (using utilities like Hijack
This, etc.), so if AdAware doesn't resolve your problem, see
http://tinyurl.com/9agzl for a more complete set of spyware and adware
removal processes. If you have further questions, you'll want to post them
in the IE group mentioned above.
