Why need for 2 hands hyper link within a doc.

It seems that I went backwards when I upgraded to Office
2003. If I have a hyper link within a document, I need to
use two hands to engage. One hand for Ctrl. and the other
for Enter. That's not progress. Why does the program keep
promting me to use two hands. I want to point and click
like I used to. Is there way around this "feature"

From the Tools menu, select Options and then go to the Edit tab and uncheck
the "Use CTRL + Click to follow hyperlink" box.
