Why will text not email in a .tif file created in picture/fax vie

looking to find why text will not transfer in a .tif file created in MS pic&
fax viewer
when sent by email?

There are different varieties of the .tif extension. Not all can be read by OCR
recognition software. Have you tried opening the file yourself in the Document
Imaging program?
