Why Would Forms Actions Suddenly Disappear?

I have written new modules for two forms. As I write (and save) them they
work. Then I exit from Access. The next time I launch the forms, NONE of
the associated actions triggers the modules. Breakpoints are ignored. I
am using Access 2000 (9.0.2720) in Windows 2000 Pro. Any thoughts? This
is crazy!

Hi David.

First thing would be to download the latest service packs for Office 2000
from support.microsoft.com. This should bring you up to version 9.0.0.6620.

After that, decompile a copy of the database, compact, and import into a new
mdb so as to get rid of any existing corruption. More information:

Thanks for steering me in this direction, Allen. You got me out of the
woods.

I had not downloaded ANY of the Office 2000 service packs, so that was a
big leap forward in itself.

I could not ultimately identify and restore the corrupted form -- though
I suspect the source was the one with a reference to a procedure I had
moved to another module (!) -- but so little code was involved, I was
able to cut and paste all of it into yesterday's backup. I'm back in
business.

Thanks again.

David
