Will Outlook 2007 allow for adding items to the Navigation Pane?

Can anyone tell me if, with Outlook 2007 it will be possible to add
additional items to the WunderBar (eg, in addition to Mail, Calendar,
Contacts ...).
Ideally I would like to control the rendering of the custom WunderBar's
associated Navigation Pane to display items that are external to the Outlook
Store.

Any idea...anyone?
