Win98 to XP pro address book transfer

I am transfering my files onto a new compy running XP pro from an old '98
machine. I got the inbox, sent, etc... folders transfered into Outlook 2000
from Outlook Express.

My problem is that I cant get the address book to transfer. I still have the
files on the old 98 machine, and the address book opens fine on that one, but
no matter how I try and transfer the .wab file, it doesn't open with the
contacts.

I have tried to transfer it into C:\Program Files\Outlook Express, but that
doesn't work. In that folder, there is a .exe file called eab, and the .wab
file that has my contacts.

I have also tried putting it into the C:\Documents and
Settings\Zeretul\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book, but no dice their
either.

So, how do I make these two sync up?

Outlook cannot read a WAB.
Outlook Express does.
You import into OE, then from there into Outlook.
