Windows configuring Microsoft Home Publishing 2000

Hi there, I have just started getting this message everytime I try to open a
Home Publishing 2000 project. "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft
Home Publishing 2000 Gathering required information......" It then quickly
pops up "Preparing to install" and then the project will open.
Any idea what is causing this? Many thanks.

Home Publishing is a different program than Publisher.

If it just started, what changes have you made to your computer recently?

Hi JoAnn, The only change/new software that has been loaded recently is the
trial version of Office Professional 2007, but it has been running fine with
that on the system for the last month. Today I purchased the full version and
checked for updates. The only update was 02ksrla.exe for Word 2000. I have
just downloaded that in case it would help, but still the same.

HP2000 is no longer supported so there
are no current KB articles that will help
clear this up.

Might be worth a try to uninstall HP2000
and then reinstall it.

Also it may be worth try to do a system
restore to a time before the issue began.

I guess you are running WinXP SP2? It
might be worth a try to run HP2000 in
Win98 compatibility mode.
