In Outlook 2003, (running XP Pro) after installing the
Junk-mail filter update, each time the user tries to open
a new message, the Windows installer launches. Whether it
is allowed to complete or cancelled the message opens,
but the problem happens again with each new message. I've
tried the Detect and Repair for Office and it finishes
successfully, but doesn't fix the problem. I've checked
the properties on the .dat file for the update and it
looks to be installed. The user is also running McAfee
Internet Security and changes hardware profiles
frequently. If I launch in safe mode, I can open a
message without msi running.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
