I'm having a new problem; I have Office XP Small Business. I tried to open
Excel. A Windows Installer window opened "preparing to install ..." then I
received a "Problem with Shortcut - This patch package could not be opened.
Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact
the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer
patch package." I searched for a fix, and tried installing Windows
Installer Clean-Up. After installation, the next window that popped up was
"MSI30-KB884016 Setup Error - Setup has detected that the Service Pack
version of this system is newer than the update you are applying. There is
no need to install this update."
Argh! I still can't open Excel. Could someone please help me? I do have
my disks, but don't want to mess anything up any worse. Thanks in advance.
