windows media files

Several versions ago and I think with Windows 98, several .rmi files were
available in the Windows\media folder, including songs such as Beethoven's
5th Symphony, Beethoven's Fur Elise, Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, etc. But
with newer versions of Windows XP, these files are no longer included. Why is
that and can these be downloaded from Microsoft? They were often nice to
include on a title slide while waiting for people to be seated before a
presentation.

Kim,

The .rmi files were made by Real Media. Seeing as how Real Media started
the legal stuff in Europe (they were the complainant) I somehow don't think
you'll be seeing MS support the format much. <g>
