Windows User account problem

Hi,

I have a problem whereby a User has got married and changed her name.

We are using Windows authentication and since her name changed so did her
Windows user accoun (WUA).

When I update the User account information for this person in the Enterprise
Resource Pool and verify it using the Windows account button, it correctly
verifies the Windows User Account for this person. I save and close the
Enterprise Resource Pool.

However when I go to PWA - Admin, Users and Groups, I still see the old
windows user account for this person. I can modify the user details, enter
the correct Windows User account and save the changes.

However the next time we log into PWA and review the information theWUA has
reverted back to the original.

She was only assigned to one task in one project prior to this change and I
since repulihed the assignments after her details were updated in the Ent
Resource Pool.

She no longer has a WUA with her old name on the current domain, nor are
there any duplicate resources in the Ent Res Pool.

I ma at a loss - I can't figure out WHY when I review this user in PWA her
WUA details have reverted back to the original WUA, even though this is no
longer a valid Windows Account.

I looked at the KB article #329828 - "PRJ2002: Windows User Account Name in
the Enterprise Resource Pool Reverts to the Original Windows User Account
Name" but this isn't the issue. In any event O have tried working through
the suggestion here, recereated the user etc but the problem remains.

HELP !! I am tearing my hair out here - and getting very frustrated !!

Thanks

Gary

Gary:

Try temporarily disabling caching on the server before you make these
changes. IIS can do some wierd things with caching.

Gary:

Try making the change and then starting and stopping IIS, which should have
the same effect. Open a command window and type "iisreset" without the
quotes.
