WindowsDesktopSearch says uninstall prior version; I can't find on

Installed Office 2007 Ultimate. When in Outlook, told to download and
install Windows Desktop Search so it would have full searching capabilities.
I download but when I try to install, the installation stops and a warning
window pops up instructing me to first remove prior versions of Wisdows
Desktop Search. However, I cannot find a prior version of Windows Desktop
Search anywhere - in program files nor in add/delete.

I did use the Office 2007 beta; could it have left some residue of WDS when
I deleted it to install my Office 2007 Ultimate?

Hi,

Your guess is correct.The Office 2007 beta comes with "Windows Desktop
Search 3.0".
Check if you have "Windows Desktop Search 3.0" in the Add/Remove
Programs.The Office 2007 has "Windows Desktop Search 3.01".

That's the strange thing. I can't find it in the Add/Remove Programs.
