Whenever I send an E-mail "winmail.dat" attatches itself to the mail. How do I get rid of it? Why is it there?

This is usually caused by a person sending using Outlook's Rich Text Format
to a non-Outlook user.
Try changing your Mail format to Plain Text (preferred) or HTML
