XP SP2, 2 Gig's of ram, new Dell XPS system, about a week old.
I've noticed that if Word is running (winword.exe) there is an annoying
delay when I type in a cmd (start/run/cmd ) windows. I first thought this was
a problem with Outlook 2003 because if I quit outlook I noticed that the echo
delay in cmd windows went away. Once I configured outlook so that it DID NOT
use word as it's email editor the delay in cmd went away. However if I'm
running word, and then open a cmd window the delay is back. Has anyone else
seen this and is there any fix other than quitting word before opening a cmd
window?
