winzip

is it possible to run winzip through vbe and tell it which files to
pack?

i.e files 1xx,2xx,3xx,4xx,5xx to pack as xxx, 1yy,2yy,3yy,4yy,5yy to
pack as yyy.zip?

probably with the winzip command line version, WZZIP.EXE.

hopefully someone will give you an example.
