.wmv does not play in PowerPoint

Having made a .wmv file in Movie Maker, I am trying to insert it into
PowerPoint. The image appears, but the file will not play. I have checked out
the sites mentioned by Sonia, but the references to wmv's implies that I
should have no problem.

Please help..

Where have you saved your WMV file? The "path" to the file may be too long. Is
it stored somewhere in My Documents? Try moving it to C:\Test, for example, and
then delete and re-insert it in your presentation. Save the presentation to
C:\Test and then try playing the show. Does the movie work?

Which version of Movie Maker did you use? The first version of MM created
files that are not compatible with PPT. Try upgrading MM and reformat the
video.
