Won't retrieve mail when awakened from sleep

Since upgrading Microsoft Office X for Mac v 10.1.4, Entourage always
creates error saying unable to retrieve mail from my account. This didn't
happen before the upgrade. Any help would be appreciated.

What type of account are you talking about ??? POP, IMAP ??? Do you have
any detail on the exact error message you're getting ???

If it's just the first mail check done by schedule as the machine waked from
sleep, this is a known issue that came in with recent OS upgrades - the
network stuff doesn't seem to have quite caught up before Entourage tries to
connect. Subsequent checks should go though OK. Is this what you are seeing?
