Word 2000 Spell Checker

Echy

Hello

First time here -- my question relates to Word 2000, if I am in the
wrong group happy to be pointed in the right direction.

I have just started to use Microsoft Word 2000 again - it came as a
part of Microsoft Works Suite 2001. I know there are later versions
etc. but Microsoft Word 2000 seems to be suitable to me and I own it.
My computer runs Microsoft Windows 2000 SP4 with all updates installed.

My problem is that the spell checker is not working. No matter what
rubbish I type, spell checker says the spelling is OK.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
