Word 2000 standard dictionary

I am having problems locating the word standard dictionary. I don't think it was loaded or has vanished. I have the installation CD but following the instructions doesn't give me the end product.
Is there an alternative dictionary I can download? Or can some one tell me where to down load the correct dictionary
