It appears that Microsoft has changed how certain events are managed in
Office 2003, particularly in Word. Certain event-based functionality that
worked in previous versions no longer functions, specifically the
"Document_BeforeClose" event - this event had a "Cancel" parameter which
allowed you to conditionally cancel the close command. I'm trying to restore
this capability in Word 2003 but am having trouble with the different
approach.
I've read the Word 2003 online help regarding the "DocumentBeforeClose"
Event, followed their instructions, but still can't get the Event Procedures
to execute when a qualifying event occurs.
Does anyone know how to get the event handling to function with this new
approach?
Thanks,
