Windows XP Home, Office 2003, 1G RAM.
When Word2003 is open with a document and I switch to another window, either
a word window or other window, and click back, Word shows the hourglass for
about 30 seconds before the window can be used for anything, even closing it.
What on earth or in heaven is Word doing during this time and how do I stop
it? It is NOT thrashing the disk. This did not happen with Office XP (2002).
There is the same sort of delay on startup but that is at least partly virus
checker.
