Word 2007--Tabbing multipe lines at once

Hello:

Is there any way to tab several lines over at once? I tried highlighting
them and pressing the tab button; however, that just deleted the text. See
below for an example of what I mean by tabbing multiple lines over.

MMM
MMM
MMM

Now, say I wanted to tab those three MMM over at once. How could I do it?

Select them and then Drag the indent marker on the Ruler at the top of
the page.

I'm in Word 2007, under the Home tab, and I see no such thing.
