Word and 3 of 9 Barcodes

I am currently using Word 2002 sp2 on Win XP Pro sp1

The 3 of 9 barcodes that I am printing out of word are taking a lot longer to be read than the same barcode printed out of other software programs. The barcodes coming out of word are readable but it takes anywhere from 5 to 10 seconds more to read each barcode. Has anyone else had a similiar experience

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated
