Word > Entourage > Yahoo Mail

Just set up an Apple G4 iMac to use Entourage for e-mail. Intended
use was to send a regular e-mail newsletter that is drafted in MS
Word.

What we have found is that we can create a newsletter in Word (with
images etc), Send as HTML via Entourage, and it works very easily.

EXCEPT the message is not displayed in Yahoo Mail. The entire message
is sent and received by Yahoo (can be forwarded elsewhere) but Yahoo
displays an empty message and nothing seems to make it show the
message contents.

This is with the "classic" Yahoo mail, and yes, the setting for
displaying HTML content are correct. This has been documented by at
least two Yahoo Mail users.

There is no indication that there is HTML content, and no suggestion
that there is a file attachment.

Other mail clients, including gmail handle the message fine (asude
form the usual limitations.)

Any ideas? Google has turned up nothing.

Just in case I was unclear:

1) We compose the message in MS Word
2) We choose File | Send as HTML
3) The Entourage address book opens, and we choose the recipient
address, add a Subject line, and click Send Now.
4) For most people the message arrives and displays fine.
5) Yahoo Mail users receive the message, but when opened it displays a
blank page. No text, no images, no suggestion that there is an
attachment.
6) The message can be forwarded elsewhere from Yahoo Mail, and will
display properly on other e-mail clients.

The only issue is that Yahoo Mail refuses to display the message. We
have tried MS Word generated messages with image content, and with
only text. Neither will display.

Thanks Dianne. I always love it when Microsoft suggests not using
Microsoft products.

My frustation is that the people creating the newsletter have very
limited skills. Thay had been creating it in Word, then cut and
pasting it into the Mac Mail program. That situation brought a number
of problems, most of them unique to Mail.

The beauty of using Word/Entourage was that it eliminated a handful of
steps and issues. The only drawback in the Yahoo problem.

I will look at what you have linked.
