Trying to develop form that can be filled out via email&
returned. PRoblem is in alignment. Can't seem to set fixed
form response length. Tried following MicroSOft "work
arounds" via "WD: Length of Form Field Expands or
Contracts, Affecting Alignment

This article was previously published under Q119129" but
can't seem to get tables or forms to hold text to a
certain length. Result: rest of form jumps around page
endlessly. Any thoughts out there?

In Word 2000 and above, make sure that auto resizing is disabled (Table
Properties | Table | Options). This should keep your columns stable. To
prevent rows from expanding, set them to an Exact height. This won't prevent
users from typing more text than will fit, but most will get the message
when it starts to disappear.
