Word has magically removed my document, help please.

Hello. I have been working on a document since last October in Microsoft word. Last Friday the document disappeared from everywhere, there was no trace.
There is nothing in the word history.
Nothing shown in Dropbox.
I have searched my pc.
I have used Disk Drill to search my pc for deleted docs, twice.
I am unsure how it can just vanish? Is there anything else I can do?? I really need to find it.
