Word Help

Hi everyone,
Since yesterday, everytime I go to open word it takes
forever for it to load. Also, If I just finished a
paper, and go to open another new file, it does the same
thing. It also does it with Excel. None of the other
programs on my pc act this slow. Does anyone know what
could be the problem? I am a medical transcriptionist,
and this is holding me up. Thanks in advance.

It appears to be a bug in a recent update of Norton AV - uncheck its Office
plug-in.

Open Norton AV - and from the options > misc sub menu you can uncheck it.
