Word>Mailings>Envelopes>Select addressee

When I try to print envelopes I get a hangup as I select the addressee from
my Outlook Contacts list. Office prompts that it cannot continue and then
shuts down. If I restart windows and attempt the process again it usually
works successfully. And sometimes not. It's extremely annoying. How do I fix
it?
