I have an odd problem. I created templates years ago in Word 97. They
have worked fine over the years, opening in each new subsequent
version of Word. All the templates have some kind of MailMerge
"FillIn" field added, such as for product name, person's name, or
title.
I was involved in the beta test, but can't remember now if I used any
of these templates or not. Chances are I did, but there's no way for
me to say with absolute certainty.
Yesterday I opened one of the templates, and when it opened, all I saw
was the document sitting there before me. It never prompted me to
enter any of the required information.
My question here: what am I missing? I know it has to be something
simple, but for the life of me, I can't figure it out right now. Just
chalk it up to too many distractions right now. To think I'm the one
everyone else calls when they have problems. Argh.
