Worksheet Protection - AutoSum

Is there a way to use the Auto Sum feature in Excel while the
worksheet is Protected.

Hi

If u r using excel 2000 and above & u want to c the sum only (no alterations
on the sheet it self)-- select the cells u want to sum and see the sum in
the status bar (bottom right corner of the worksheet)


If u want to make changes
start new worksheet, select cell A1,
go back to the protected sheet &select All (CTRL +A),
click on the format printer,
go to the new sheet
press enter the entire contents will be pasted (without protection)
u can edit the same there after.
