Worksheet protection

I have a worksheet in which there are questions in one
column I want to protect and a second column where users
can insert their answers. I unlock the answers column and
then protect the worksheet BUT the row height remains
fixed. How can I unlock the row height so that users can
enter more data than contained in the questions column?
