Wrapping Text Around Insert

I seem unable to wrap text completely around an inserted picture. Text skips
from the top to the bottom of the inserted picture. I have followed the
"Help" instructions and in the"Arrange" group selected "Position" and
"Floating" or "Inline" with the same result.
Leaving me unable to type text adjacent to either side of the inserted
picture or clip art. I must be missing something! I am a novice when using
Office but of moderate experience when using the computer in general. Thanks
for any help.

PS This is the 2007 version of Word which I use in the compatibility version
with 2003 thru 2006.

Try setting the text wrapping to tight or square.
