I am accustomed to being able to simply type a website address and having Outlook automatically create a link to that website.
In Entourage, this doesn't seem to work and I cannot find any information on how to do it. I would also like my own website address to be a link in my signature block...
Can anyone help??

When you compose a message the links do not appear active, but they are.
Just save the message as a draft and you will then see the active links.

Enclose the URL with < and > viz: <http://www.entourage.mvps.org/> so that
if the URL wraps over more than one line, it will still work when it gets
there.

However, I think what you are describing is you want to type "My web site"
and it would contain the link. Entourage does not do this. You can use a
script to do this.

Make Hyperlinks X...This script makes proper hyperlinks (live underlined
words in ordinary text that open linked web pages) in Entourage messages. It
guarantees clickable hyperlinks in HTML messages even when received in
Outlook Windows.

You can insert the URL of a web page that is open into the body of an
Entourage message using a script, but it will be like the link above. See
this blog article on the different scripts for different browsers. As you
will read, it's one of my most used scripts.

if you include the 'http://' protocol prefix the link will be 'hot' in
most mail clients when the email is received. It just doesn't show as
'hot' in an Entourage draft message window until the message is saved.

Check this for yourself by typing http://www.apple.com in a message
window, then saving the message as draft and re-opening it. the link
will now be hot & clickable.
