Xcell startup pane

I can't get xcel to keep my startup pane view setting?

Tried the normal.dot file for word. It did not seem to be that.
Word starts with the task pane ok.

None of the boxes checked in addins.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Under view in xcel Office XP you can check startup pane. On the right
side of the screen you can see recent files and templates.
Once I close xcel and reopen that pane is gone.

I tried saving to the normal template book1, but this still happens.

No virus scanner plug in installed either.

When Xcel opens up for a milisecond I see the startup pane.

It's as if xcel is set to open a blank worksheet somewhere. Nothing is
in the xcel startup folder.

Thanks for the reply

Try this:

Tools, Options, View

Now make sure all 4 items under "SHOW" are ticked. One item is "Startup task pane".

Hope this helps.
