XL2003 problems

Hi All
I am designing/ formatting a worksheet containing a number of pivot tables,
comboBoxes & various other objects. A problem is triggered when I begin to
hide rows, it causes the objects to become frozen & uneditable
New Objects items cannot be inserted.
The other worksheets within the workbook are not affected & function OK.
The problem can be reversed by unhiding the row but this is no practicle.
I have previously designed similar sheets in XL2000 with none of the same
problems
I would appreciate some help

In Excel 2003 hiding rows triggers a recalculation. Make sure you are in
manual calculation mode whilst hiding.
